Notice of General Meeting

We refer to the 'Notice of General Meeting' (Notice) which you forwarded to a select few community members in Robinvale. The initial (Petition) was not signed by 20% of MVAC's membership.

Therefore, the Petition has failed to meet the requirements of section 257 of the Co-operatives National Law (Vic) and rule 27(2) of MVAC's Rules.

MVAC have also asked for clarification as why it appeared that some signatures affixed to it were duplicates.

As at the date of this Facebook notification, no one has responded to MVAC's concerns.

Therefore, the proposed meeting is not compliant and MVAC has notified Consumer Affairs Victoria.

MVAC has ask Calinda to withdraw it immediately and refrain from conducting the purported general meeting on 25 October 2022.

We can inform that MVAC will be holding a community forum on 17November 2022 to discuss any matters that members and interested non-members have in connection with MVAC.

We will also he holding a family fun day Mid December

On Saturday 15th November, the community came together at the Euston Club for the MVAC NAIDOC Ball 2025, and it was truely a night to remember. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week, we embraced this year's powerful theme.
