About the Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative
The Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative is a not-for-profit organisation who provides a diverse range of programs from childcare, kindergarten, health, medical, well being, housing and aged care for the Aboriginal people in Robinvale. Our main focus is on self determination, empowerment and resilience.
Our History
MVAC was established in 1974 by the local aboriginal community with the objective of improving general living standards for the Aboriginal people of Robinvale.
With the support of Government and charity organisations, Education, Welfare, Health and Housing programs were developed and operated by MVAC while settlements were established at Manatunga Reserve and later at Sand Pitts along the river, providing shelter for many local families coming to the town for work.

Our Strategic Plan is a dynamic document that is both consistent in policy and focus, and responsive to changing conditions and emerging opportunities.
