MVAC June 2022 Newsletter
June 16, 2022

Robinvale winter appears to have arrived! I hope everyone is keeping warm, and keeping connected to community and maintaining social, cultural and physical activities—it’s very important for our mental and physical health. With the colder weather, COVID-19 has hit the Robinvale region, and has unfortunately affected several staff members.

Luckily, with full vaccinations, staff have mostly had milder symptoms and tested negative again within a week. MVAC has therefore ramped up our COVID-19 safe approach once more, with mask wearing mandatory in MVAC offices and community areas, to keep everyone safe. When you visit MVAC, you will find sanitiser and face masks readily available. We thank you for supporting us with these precautions.

NAIDOC is hopefully fully on in 2022. On Monday 4 July, MVAC will host our annual NAIDOC flag raising and smoking ceremony followed by lunch. And please don’t miss our wonderful Family Fun Day on Friday/ 8th of July at MVAC. Stalls, music, crafts, art, children’s activities and our usual giant lunch, which is free for our community and friends. We hope to see you all there. Until then, take care and stay safe.
